Scrunchie Wars

These pictures are actually backwards. Dakota ended up with the scrunchie when she and Ruger were playing with it this weekend. We got to puppy sit for Dakota while her family went on a trip and we had so much fun! Cooper left us Friday and Ruger was alone for only an hour when Dakota showed up to play. Today was his first day alone and he did pretty good. We went to the bank and for a car ride. He stayed by me while I worked and had lunch then took a long puppy nap in the afternoon. He's been my little shadow all day though.

These pictures are so funny. Anything Dakota wants, Dakota gets!

It almost looks like Ruger is telling grandma Harley that Dakota took his scrunchie! LOL

Dakota was playing "Keep Away" with Ruger, it was so funny to watch. I love the way she sits!

Ruger playing with the scrunchie after he pulled it out of my hair.

I love this picture of the two of them.

Would you give a high performance car regular unleaded gas?

If you do it won't run for very long. There are cars and then there are High Performance Cars. High performance cars need special gas and even special additives for that gas. If you don't feed that car the right stuff it will break down and certainly won't win any races. Even if you never plan to take your bulldog and enter her or him into a show you still have a "high performance" animal. You made such a great investment in your bulldog, both financially and emotionally. Giving them the best of everything is important to your bully living a long and happy life.

You can provide them with all the nutrition they need with a balanced diet through Natural Balance food and then PetCare supplements through Melaleuca. I get no benefit at all from recommending Natural Balance, I simply know it works. I also know PetCare works and is well worth the money. Providing PetCare is responsible and proactive. You get it delivered to your front door! What can be more simple than that? There are only two more days to take advantage of the $1 enrollment through Melaleuca so you can order the PetCare online and have it delivered to you each month. Here are the ingredients in the PetCare vitamins. Only the best for your high performance fuzzy kid!!

Give me a call today or tomorrow and you can still participate in the discount enrollment!!

A Healthy Bulldog = Melaleuca Vitamins!!!

Bella gets her Melaleuca vitamins from her loving family Katie and Jon Silva

Leann Bannister with her puppy Biggie, he gets his vitamins every day!

Craig,

Just wanted to send you a quick email and say thank you for
hooking us up with Melalueca. We are absolutely ecstatic with their products
and couldn’t be happier. We have been using the dog vitamins with Kahlua
since we started, and certainly think that this is the reason our vet raves
about her. Our vet sees most of the bulldogs up here in Fort Collins area and
tells us all the time how wonderful she looks (skin, coat, muscle tone, her
breathing EVERYTHING). I of course give credit to Melalueca (and our breeder).
Again, thank you so much for getting us on board with Melalueca, and we are
looking forward to a litter from Mugsy and Tank.

Hi Michelle,
With your permission I'd like to put your email comments on our website as a testimonial. People just
don't seem to believe us when we tell them how much of a difference
these products make in the lives of their dogs and in their own lives.
We know people who do Melaleuca and make literally
millions of dollars with it. It is possible to make that kind of
money with. Thanks for your email. It was great to hear from you!!

Adele,
Thank you for getting back to me, absolutely you can use my words on
how much I enjoy melaleuca. I like it so much I even ordered the
cleaning home conversion kit and now we use solely ecosense products.
I love not having to worry about them harming my kids or my 4 legged
kid. And they work so well. My 5 yr old now asks for the goo stuff
(melagel) instead of bandaids, because it makes it better. Oh, I could
go on and on. Thank you again.

Craig had told me that you guys were retiring Harley. I love the fact
that you love your dogs so much and respect them enough to stop when
you feel the time is right. Well, we are certainly looking forward to
seeing Mugsy's babies when the timing is right.

Yin Yang

Tank and Harley have been inseparable since they were puppies. They sleep like this a lot. All curled up and cuddled into each other. This is the two of them under my desk. There never is any room for my feet under there but they are perfectly happy to fill up the space and they use every inch of it. Snoring and just sitting on my feet. This is very typical for English Bulldogs. They need to be with the ones they love. Always up against you or touching you somewhere. They are smart and loving and so sweet. People laugh that I call them "kids" and I always just say, "Well, they are!"

The girls

Harley raised Mugsy. Harley's birthday is tomorrow the 28th and she'll be four. We've really been having a hard time with both the girls since they had litters of puppies at the same time. Somehow they just didn't want to share the babies and started to fight. For whatever reason it's been impossible to have them in the same room with each other since that happened. Today Craig and I took the girls on a walk together and we were so thrilled they didn't fight. They looked at each other for one of the first times since this whole thing started and didn't snarl or lunge at each other. It's been so hard to handle. Our happy family has been torn apart by this fighting. We've called for help from experts who have given us things to do to help out and we've done all they said but today was the first time they responded. We gave them treats and praised them a lot. I don't know how long it will take to get things back to the way they were but I won't ever give up. Last year when we had to sell Tazzie because she was fighting with Harley too after her puppies were born, it just about killed me. I still miss Tazzie. I always will. I had to do the right thing for her and make sure she was safe. I won't give up Harley or Mugsy. I can't do again. You just love these dogs and they are your fuzzy kids. I can't give up another part of my heart. This just has to work out.

Harley & Tank are grandparents!!

Tank and Harley first had babies in February of 2008. One of their puppies was Winnie and she was bought by Kristen Hopkins of Kansas City. As far as we know she is the first one of our "babies" to have babies!!!! She had five boys and two girls. All are healthy and beautiful. They were born last Saturday. She is asking $3000 for them because their daddy is a Champion. He is a buff little guy with broad shoulders and a tough exterior.

Champion Showtime Silver Creek's Cheerio (the father of Winnie's puppies)

Mama Winnie (Harley & Tank's daughter)

Please let us know if you know someone looking for an English Bulldog puppy or if you're interested in these puppies. We will forward your information to Kristen. She is accepting $500 deposits on the babies now. They are gorgeous!!!! (I think they look like grandma Harley)

Individual photos of each baby to follow, stay tuned!!

Beautiful Baby Britain

Adele and Craig,

Britain is doing great. She is growing quickly and starting to realize that she isn't as small as when we brought her home. She is one happy pup and I am pleased to report- excellent on walks. She is scared of her shadow so sometimes when the sun is out- she isn't into it as much but everything takes time. She loves heat. I have never seen a bulldog like the heat so much. She sits in front of the air ducts when the heat is on, in front of the oven when it is on and blowing hot air toward the ground and loves the fireplace (and we do keep the heat on- I promise). She is such a good dog. I have attached some more pictures. The most recent is the one in front of the fireplace from this past weekend. She loves her coat, too. If in need of any- they are 75% off at Petsmart so I got a couple of sizes. I have some really nice ones for when she is a little bigger, too (and that is coming very soon it appears).

Honestly, I have been meaning to check out the Melaleuca products. I know you are sold on them and anything we can do to make her life a little better- I am all for- just haven't had the free time to do any research. Jen and I will take a look.

One other note- the blog post has been sent to several people. Too cute.

Hope all is well and talk to you soon.

Matt

Vixen's new home

I just wanted to take a second to thank you for allowing us to adopt Vixen (we did rename here Britain)- You were absolutely right- she is a very special little girl. She is so loving and sweet. Obviously for us- it was a matter of timing given our recent loss. While we will never forget Wrigley- Britain has helped to fill the void that she left when she passed.

She is growing so quickly. She can climb the stairs already but is not ready to go down them yet. We live in a bungalow with 4 steps to the backyard and 4 to the front door so stairs are integral to the potty training eventually turning into outside. We saw Dr. G. this morning and she is already 16lbs!

I am sure you are still busy with pups so I just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you again. She is in a loving home and both Jen and I are looking forward to sharing the journey of life with Britain.

She absolutely loves the bucket she took home with her. She carries it around with her from time to time. It is also where we put her toys at night which works well. We have a large basket that we normally store toys for her upstairs and have recently been using to store blankets. She climbs into that to sleep. So cute- at this size, anyway.

She is fully potty trained. She will go up and down the front stairs and up the back. Eventually she will be using the back stairs but we are making some very good progress. We are getting up with her about 3 times a night but she is making progress on that front. Jen wants to put her in the bed in the morning- but I have seen how that ends- me on like 3 inches of space!

I got my first real nip from her yesterday- on my forehead of all places.

She is happy and certainly a very confident (and determined) little girl. i would not have it any other way!

Hope all is well. Thank you again and I will not be a stranger.

Melaleuca Products

First let me assure you this is NOT a sales pitch. I've known about Melaleuca products for years and use them on our dogs and ourselves. We don't push them on anyone but we do know they work and so this is our attempt to share them with others. Melaleuca products make a difference in the health of your puppy. If you've paid the high cost of an English Bulldog puppy or any other breed really, you've made an investment and keeping him or her healthy is obviously important to you. We believe that prevention is better than waiting for a problem to develop. It seems that either way you end up paying the price, it's so much better for you and your pet if it's the price of a good tasting vitamin that keeps them healthy for a lifetime.

Craig and I are distributors for Melaleuca. You can not buy these products anywhere but from a distributor. Will order the products for you at the regular price or be happy to sign you up as a distributor so you can take advantage of the savings by being a preferred customer with the company. You also earn “Advantage dollars” by being a distributor. These are dollars accrued over time that you can use to purchase products from the company at no cost to you. It’s a way for Melaleuca to thank their loyal customers by giving something back.

We have stories to tell about each and every one of the products! If you'd like to hear them give me a call and I can tell you first hand experiences we have had using every product you see here and many more. You’ll have your stories too as you use the products and see the difference in your life and your pet's. Shipping and tax are added to each order. When you call or email me and place your order I will total it and once I get the payment from you, I’ll order it and have it shipped to you. Most orders will take one week to process.

Thanks for caring about your puppy and using only the best products on them. In all my years of having and raising dogs I've NEVER seen anything like these unique products. They work. There is also a 100% refund on any products you try that you're not happy with. Even if you use the whole thing.

Here are some of my favorite products:

This tea tree oil is a healing oil. We use it on the pads of our dog's feet or any spot where they have scratched a sore. It heals fast and has a bitter taste so they won't lick on themselves and cause the problem to get worse. It smells strong and they don't like it but the truth is it works. Within a day or so the sore is gone or well on it's way to healing. It heals from the inside out and doesn't leave scars. My sister used this on her Doxie when she had surgery on her back and it healed up beautifully. It works great on people too! The T-40 is a rare quality and very little goes a long way, maybe one drop or so. Regular $24.50 Preferred Customer $9.54

T-36 oil is wonderful too it's just not as concentrated as T-40. It goes farther since there is more of it. You get a full ounce of it in the bottle. I use T-40 on more serious wounds and T-36 for the more regular cuts and scrapes. Regular $17 Preferred Customer $11.59

Sol-U-Mel gets out stains. It's a laundry booster, it's an all purpose cleaner. It's something I can't live without. I use it on EVERYTHING. When the girls had their C-sections I used it to get the sticky adhesive off of them. When my daughter came home from the hospital she had medication patches that needed to be changed every three days. Sol-U-Mel gently wiped away the sticky residue. It's all natural and has no harmful chemicals. It can be used without fear of hurting yourself or your beloved pets. It gets out blood, chocolate, ink and I haven't found anything it hasn't gotten out yet! I add it to my carpet cleaner and don't have any pet stains on my floors. You'd never know I have three large bulldogs! It's highly concentrated with one capful going a LONG way! Regular $25.99 Preferred Customer $11.51

I can't say enough about these pet treat vitamins. Dr. Geiselhardt, our vet, looked at the ingredients and told me he wished everyone would give these to their pets. It's so much better to avoid problems than to wait until they develop in your dog and THEN try and do something about them. Prevention is better than dealing with trouble. Either way you end up paying the price but this way, the price is only for something your dog loves to eat and keeps them healthy! It makes sense and is something we feel very strongly about. Regular $14 Preferred Customer $9.54

MelaGel seals the oil. It is put on top of the sore as a topical healing agent. We use the oil and gel together to get rid of "hot spots" or anything that irritates our dogs. It heals very fast and leaves only a thin line where the incision used to be. I've used this on bug bites, surgery incisions, sores from scratches, paper cuts, anything that you want to stop itching, stinging, or burning. It's wonderful and I know that when I use it I'm on my way to a quick healing. Regular $11 Preferred Customer $7.47

Bottom line is we love our pets. So do you. It's important to do the very best by them and yourself. We aren't looking to make a profit from this. We simply want to share what we know works for us with you. We love your puppies. We love ours. Please live healthy lives and know we care about your "babies".

One puppy left!

And then there was one! Vixen is the last puppy to find a home. Which truly amazes me because she is one of the most beautiful puppies we had. She is perfect. Her wrinkles are soft and there are tons of them! When she is happy her little tail wags so fast you can hardly see it, lol. She pounces and plays so cute and is just fearless. She's a lot like Mugsy's little Eloise from her first litter. Even has the same spot over her tail as Eloise. Her personality is beyond cute and I just know her forever family is out there looking for her. We'll be patient and consider ourselves lucky to have her here until they find her. I can cuddle her as long as it takes!

We did the tea cup pictures of the kids last night and ALL of them were total rock stars! They did exactly what we wanted and posed like models. It was super easy this time. Not sure what made the difference but all of them were extremely cooperative. I got some amazing shots of them. I hope you all enjoy them!
