Love For A Lifetime

Dogs are a lifelong commitment. It's very sad to me when someone adopts a puppy then changes their mind and doesn't want them anymore. I tell everyone that you get what you give and like anything in life you'll get out of something what you are willing to put into it.

More than once I've talked someone out of giving up on their new puppy only to get emails months later thanking me for not letting them rehome their puppy. It's so worth the effort to hang in there and fit these amazing creatures into your life. You become a better person and learn and grow right along with your dog.

Animals are not here for our use, they are beings on this earth who deserve the best we have to offer and they give as much as they get. It's a privilege to share my life with my dogs and my other animals. I serve them every day and consider myself so blessed to be able to do things for them.

I had three human children and my dogs have been my fuzzy kids. It's crazy to even think of returning a human baby to the hospital because you can't deal with it anymore, so why would you dump a dog at a shelter because they don't "fit" into your life?

Buying or adoption of a dog is a one way ticket my friends. Your ship has SAILED once you take that baby home. You make it work. The blessings for doing so
are immeasurable.

Happy Fourth of July!

Some dogs love fireworks and some shake uncontrollably when they hear them.  Tank and Harley loved them and would sit together and watch them every year.  Mugsy would start to shake when she heard the first pop and would be so upset sometimes I had to turn on the TV or music and close all the windows and sit with her and miss the show.  Every dog is different just like every child is different.  Know your bulldog and don't expose them to fireworks if they're scared.  It's very easy for a bulldog to get stressed and it can be harmful and even fatal if they get TOO stressed.  Please be sensitive to their needs as you would a child's needs.  We didn't treat Mugsy any different as a puppy than we did Tank and Harley and she still was so much more frightened and sensitive to things.  It's just who they are.  Have a happy fourth of July but please keep a close watch on the feelings and signals from your bulldog.

This is Taz and her baby when we had puppies in 2009.  She had one litter for us.  Five little girls and then she was spayed.  She was an awesome little mother.  I love this picture of her cuddling her baby.  She did this a lot.  Pure love.

Scrunchie Wars

These pictures are actually backwards. Dakota ended up with the scrunchie when she and Ruger were playing with it this weekend. We got to puppy sit for Dakota while her family went on a trip and we had so much fun! Cooper left us Friday and Ruger was alone for only an hour when Dakota showed up to play. Today was his first day alone and he did pretty good. We went to the bank and for a car ride. He stayed by me while I worked and had lunch then took a long puppy nap in the afternoon. He's been my little shadow all day though.

These pictures are so funny. Anything Dakota wants, Dakota gets!

It almost looks like Ruger is telling grandma Harley that Dakota took his scrunchie! LOL

Dakota was playing "Keep Away" with Ruger, it was so funny to watch. I love the way she sits!

Ruger playing with the scrunchie after he pulled it out of my hair.

I love this picture of the two of them.

Would you give a high performance car regular unleaded gas?

If you do it won't run for very long. There are cars and then there are High Performance Cars. High performance cars need special gas and even special additives for that gas. If you don't feed that car the right stuff it will break down and certainly won't win any races. Even if you never plan to take your bulldog and enter her or him into a show you still have a "high performance" animal. You made such a great investment in your bulldog, both financially and emotionally. Giving them the best of everything is important to your bully living a long and happy life.

You can provide them with all the nutrition they need with a balanced diet through Natural Balance food and then PetCare supplements through Melaleuca. I get no benefit at all from recommending Natural Balance, I simply know it works. I also know PetCare works and is well worth the money. Providing PetCare is responsible and proactive. You get it delivered to your front door! What can be more simple than that? There are only two more days to take advantage of the $1 enrollment through Melaleuca so you can order the PetCare online and have it delivered to you each month. Here are the ingredients in the PetCare vitamins. Only the best for your high performance fuzzy kid!!

Give me a call today or tomorrow and you can still participate in the discount enrollment!!

A Healthy Bulldog = Melaleuca Vitamins!!!

Bella gets her Melaleuca vitamins from her loving family Katie and Jon Silva

Leann Bannister with her puppy Biggie, he gets his vitamins every day!

Craig,

Just wanted to send you a quick email and say thank you for
hooking us up with Melalueca. We are absolutely ecstatic with their products
and couldn’t be happier. We have been using the dog vitamins with Kahlua
since we started, and certainly think that this is the reason our vet raves
about her. Our vet sees most of the bulldogs up here in Fort Collins area and
tells us all the time how wonderful she looks (skin, coat, muscle tone, her
breathing EVERYTHING). I of course give credit to Melalueca (and our breeder).
Again, thank you so much for getting us on board with Melalueca, and we are
looking forward to a litter from Mugsy and Tank.

Hi Michelle,
With your permission I'd like to put your email comments on our website as a testimonial. People just
don't seem to believe us when we tell them how much of a difference
these products make in the lives of their dogs and in their own lives.
We know people who do Melaleuca and make literally
millions of dollars with it. It is possible to make that kind of
money with. Thanks for your email. It was great to hear from you!!

Adele,
Thank you for getting back to me, absolutely you can use my words on
how much I enjoy melaleuca. I like it so much I even ordered the
cleaning home conversion kit and now we use solely ecosense products.
I love not having to worry about them harming my kids or my 4 legged
kid. And they work so well. My 5 yr old now asks for the goo stuff
(melagel) instead of bandaids, because it makes it better. Oh, I could
go on and on. Thank you again.

Craig had told me that you guys were retiring Harley. I love the fact
that you love your dogs so much and respect them enough to stop when
you feel the time is right. Well, we are certainly looking forward to
seeing Mugsy's babies when the timing is right.

Yin Yang

Tank and Harley have been inseparable since they were puppies. They sleep like this a lot. All curled up and cuddled into each other. This is the two of them under my desk. There never is any room for my feet under there but they are perfectly happy to fill up the space and they use every inch of it. Snoring and just sitting on my feet. This is very typical for English Bulldogs. They need to be with the ones they love. Always up against you or touching you somewhere. They are smart and loving and so sweet. People laugh that I call them "kids" and I always just say, "Well, they are!"

The girls

Harley raised Mugsy. Harley's birthday is tomorrow the 28th and she'll be four. We've really been having a hard time with both the girls since they had litters of puppies at the same time. Somehow they just didn't want to share the babies and started to fight. For whatever reason it's been impossible to have them in the same room with each other since that happened. Today Craig and I took the girls on a walk together and we were so thrilled they didn't fight. They looked at each other for one of the first times since this whole thing started and didn't snarl or lunge at each other. It's been so hard to handle. Our happy family has been torn apart by this fighting. We've called for help from experts who have given us things to do to help out and we've done all they said but today was the first time they responded. We gave them treats and praised them a lot. I don't know how long it will take to get things back to the way they were but I won't ever give up. Last year when we had to sell Tazzie because she was fighting with Harley too after her puppies were born, it just about killed me. I still miss Tazzie. I always will. I had to do the right thing for her and make sure she was safe. I won't give up Harley or Mugsy. I can't do again. You just love these dogs and they are your fuzzy kids. I can't give up another part of my heart. This just has to work out.
